InCon KZ put into operation a computer-based interlocking at Zhezkazgan Station

In the beginning of June, the company Integra Construction KZ put into operation a computer-based interlocking on the basis of EBILock – 950 system (a computer-based interlocking system with electronic facility controllers) at Zhezkazgan Station. At the moment, all commissioning needed for continuous operation of the computer-based electric interlocking is successfully carried out.

Total facilities connected to the computer-based electric interlocking:

  • 34 interlocked switches;
  • 7 station tracks;
  • 48 traffic lights;
  • 45 track circuits.

Supervision of installation process of this system was performed by the Manager of Signalling and Communication of InCon KZ – Altynbek Tokabayev. Operations Department of “NC “KTZh” JSC – Zhanaarka Division of Signalling and Communication, BT Signal LLP, Zholarna LLP also took part in implementation of the computer-based system.

Computer-based system performs a wide range of functions for interlocking of switches and signals and is designed to control the movement of trains and shunting work at the station. These include: diagnostic monitoring of status and failures, event archiving, integration with centralized traffic control and automatic train protection, etc.

InCon KZ – is a prime contractor of the project for construction of Zhezkazgan-Saksaulskaya main track, which passenger service started in 2016. Amongst other things, under the project we constructed the following:

  • 547,6 km of main line;
  • 8 stations;
  • 18 passing loops;
  • 14 crossings along the railway.
